Pumpkin Patch & Petting Zoo....

We took Bryce to the Pumpkin Patch yesterday and there was a cute little Petting Zoo there also.  He wasn't too thrilled about the animals.  He wanted nothing to do with them and just wanted to watch them.  He got close up to them a few times, but it would be for a split second and then he would run back to either Bryan or me.  It was fun to watch him with the animals though.  He also got to go on a horse, but that lasted for 10 seconds (he started crying his head off).  He was happy at the end of the little trip.  That's where he got to pick out any pumpkin he wanted.....and of course he picked the smallest one out of the whole entire Pumpkin Patch!

Oceanside 2012

Every Summer we go down to Oceanside to spend a few days with all of Bryan's family (Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins etc...)  We went down this last week and had a lot of fun with everyone.  Bryce got to go in the ocean this year for the very first time and it was so much fun to see how excited he got every time a wave came in.

First time touching the ocean

He couldn't stop smiling

Bryce's first haircut

My Sister-in-law Lauren was so nice to give Bryce his first haircut the other day.  There was a lot of screaming and crying but Lauren did a great job through all the curve balls that Bryce was throwing at her.  Thanks again Lauren! :)

He has no idea what is about to happen to him

Here we go.....

His hair was so long and curly

All done

Makenzie & Jordan's Wedding

My Sister-in-law Makenzie and my new Brother-in-law Jordan got married on June 9, 2012 in the Newport Temple and it was such a beautiful day!  Everything (I think) went perfect and everything looked so beautiful, especially the bride :) I didn't get that many pictures, but here are a few.  I apologize for the crying baby in most of the pictures....who's kid is that?

This picture makes me laugh everytime I look at it

We got him into the car, took his shirt off and buckled him in
and this is the face he gave us!

Sprinkler time

We have been home for a month now.  I can't believe how fast this Summer is going.  Even though Summer hasn't officially started, but you know what I mean :) Bryan got a little sprinkler play toy that shoots out water and we set it up the other day for Bryce and our niece Harley to play in it.  Bryce and Harley are 2 1/2 months apart (Bryce being older).  It was so cute to watch them run around all over the place with the water shooting at them.  Perfect for the hot weather that we are having.

He wasn't sure about it at first

Look at that sweet face....

and his sweet face :)

8 month comparison

I thought it would be fun to take first and last pictures to see how much Bryce has grown while living in Spain for 8 months.  It is so funny to see how big he has gotten!

Ciao Spain....

Well our 8 months have come to a close in Spain.  A lot of great memories were made there and we miss it already.  It is so nice to be back home in California now with family but deep down we feel like our home is back in Spain.  It was bittersweet to leave, mainly because that is where Bryce hit a lot of his important milestones in his young life.  What a great experience we had there.  I wouldn't change one thing about our time living in Spain.

We came home last Wednesday (April 25th).  Our original plans were to come on May 2nd, but we were able to change our flight.  It was probably the longest day of my life.  We had to leave our place at 6:30 am to catch our 8:30am flight to Madrid....which was an hour long (that was the easy part) and then we had a 3 hour layover in Madrid and then got on our 13 hour flight (that was the hard part) to Los Angeles.  Bryce did OK, not great, but you can't blame a 16 month old to sit still and be quiet for 13 hours.  After an hour and a half going through customs and security at LAX we finally got to see our family.  We are still getting adjusted to the time change (Spain is a 9 hour difference from California).  Its great to be home and have that long day of traveling behind us now.

We sold his crib the night before so we had to make a
bed on the ground for him for our last night. He has no idea whats going on
and why we had to wake him up at 6:15 in the morning.
