Well our 8 months have come to a close in Spain. A lot of great memories were made there and we miss it already. It is so nice to be back home in California now with family but deep down we feel like our home is back in Spain. It was bittersweet to leave, mainly because that is where Bryce hit a lot of his important milestones in his young life. What a great experience we had there. I wouldn't change one thing about our time living in Spain.
We came home last Wednesday (April 25th). Our original plans were to come on May 2nd, but we were able to change our flight. It was probably the longest day of my life. We had to leave our place at 6:30 am to catch our 8:30am flight to Madrid....which was an hour long (that was the easy part) and then we had a 3 hour layover in Madrid and then got on our 13 hour flight (that was the hard part) to Los Angeles. Bryce did OK, not great, but you can't blame a 16 month old to sit still and be quiet for 13 hours. After an hour and a half going through customs and security at LAX we finally got to see our family. We are still getting adjusted to the time change (Spain is a 9 hour difference from California). Its great to be home and have that long day of traveling behind us now.
We sold his crib the night before so we had to make a
bed on the ground for him for our last night. He has no idea whats going on
and why we had to wake him up at 6:15 in the morning.
Sleeping on our first flight of the day to Madrid
At the Madrid airport watching the planes land

Finally got him to sleep for the last 3 hours of the flight
